UT Bigha is an expressive, high-contrast display font that captures the vibrant energy and intricate spirit of Southeast Asian culture. It blends traditional calligraphic roots with a sharp, modern geometric edge. Its most striking characteristic is its “non-straight” stems—a subtle architectural lean that gives every word a sense of fluid movement and organic life.
Inspired by the street signage of Bangkok and the intricate decorative motifs found in Thai architecture, UT Bigha (named after the traditional unit of land area) seeks to bridge the gap between heritage and the “New Wave” of display typography. It reflects the duality of Thailand: the peaceful curves of a temple and the sharp, neon-lit buzz of a modern metropolis.
